hot daddy

What a hottie!
So Jaron and I decided to paint the windows on Saturday and man it was hot!! My friend Jen watched our kids and I sent the sunscreen with her. So, Jaron was not a happy camper cuz he is the light skinned European in our relationship. Since we painted from 10-4pm on our deck under the open sun he opted to change out of his shorts and t-shirt into something more sun protective. Those pants do happen to be mine. the shirt is his and was given to him by his Uncle Jerry. I laughed my head off. mostly cuz he kept lecturing me telling me that I had no idea how he felt and had I ever burned to the point of having blisters and nausea. maybe the heat got to me too cuz I could not stop laughing. I love the guy!! oh and by the way, he did not get a sunburn.

ellie birthday

Well Ellie turned two years old yesterday! We had some friends over from our ward and she loved hearing them sing her happy birthday! I had fun making a pink butterfly cake! Ellie requested the pink! She had a really fun day opening presents and getting pampered. miss you all!!

Olivia's Ballet Recital

Olivia did great at her first recital. She walked on stage, waved at us, moved her hips a little and smiled. At the end all the girls lined up and started walking off while Olivia kept just doing her own little dance. The girls were halfway across the stage and looking back at her when she finally realized that she was supposed to go. So she danced her way to the girls and when the audience clapped she turned to the crowd and waved. It was adorable. makes that $50 DVD very tempting. The bottom picture is Olivia's signature move. I would ask her to show me her ballet dance and that was it everytime.

Jaron picking up my mom with style.. my dad requested the picture!! We stayed the night in Nashville and had lots of fun exploring with my mom. We went to the Opryland Hotel, the Opry Mills mall and an aquarium where we fed the stingrays. Olivia was afraid they would sting her so she wouldn't even get close but Ellie is still fearless.

We had a nice lunch at Macaroni Grill. My mom loving her grandbabies. Sorry we're so far mom! It's Jaron's fault. love ya!
Olivia is so beautiful! I'm so proud of her!

Ellie is just as beautiful! I'm so lucky to have 2 girls that look nothing like me!

Here are some of the girls that slept in my cabin. They had an amazing ropes course which I was brave and did. sorry no pictures of me up there.. just Laura Paxton. The girls in pink are in my Ward in Alabama! It was really fun seeing them there too. I love camping...even if we had showers, toilets, sinks and bunks. not really roughing it but oh well!

Well it has been forever since I have posted anything which means A LOT has been going on. The third week of June my mom flew in from Idaho to watch my girls while I went to Girls Camp! I was a little homesick for everyone but had a lot of fun. I was in charge of Certification for the 3rd Level girls in the Stake and slept in a cabin with 7 Youth Camp Leaders who were crazy!!! but fun.. just like we were at that age (16-17 yo). I feel so boring sometimes. Anyway, here are a few pictures of camp. I'm the one in gray on the bottom. lovely.

June

Well we have had a great couple of weeks. The pool is now open and we have been a few times. Olivia and Ellie love the water. Ellie already thinks that she can swim which is a little scary!! I need to get them in swimming lessons soon. The weather has been pretty hot~94 degrees on average. AND! I have already picked 2 zucchini, one carrot, one onion, lots of radishes and peas (they're gone now) and a few beans. the bugs keep on getting my bean plants and I keep on forgetting to buy some type of organic bug repellant. oh well. guess we'll just get those at the store!

Ellie is really into singing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider". She's so cute!! Olivia is her sweet, crazy self and will sing anything!

We had a lot of fun hiking around a 1.5 mile trail. Olivia, Emyrie and Ellie were singing like Gisele on Enchanted calling all the mice to help them clean. They were adorable.

Jaron's parents came out to help up replace our windows which was REALLY nice!! Susan brought along Lexie and Aricca with their kids so we could play while the men worked!! We did a little shopping with all the kids which was not fun, went to a petting zoo, went for walks, and ate out a lot.

We're eagerly awaiting the next visit! I guess it's our turn now. Hopefully we'll be home the first 2 weeks of July. We shall see....
