Well this was my third drive to Texas since moving to Alabama and was
definitely the easiest!! We left at 3:41 am because I couldn't go back to sleep and
Jaron told me to just go!! So I did. Our
DVD player broke so I made a couple of stops looking for one. After going to Circuit City I rechecked the player and Lo and Behold, the Lord answered my prayers and it worked. So on came the movies. I also
accidentally took a side trip to New Orleans while I was talking to
Jaron.
woops!! It added about an hour to my drive but was a little bit fun to see.
While in Texas, I completely vegged. I didn't make any dinner plans,
itineraries or high expectations. My siblings and their spouses did a Great job of keeping me entertained and fed. We went to Seth's baseball games, the pool, a party for Sean, the beach twice, shopping at Target and the Strand, the historical district. It was great!! The way home Meredith and her friend Savannah drove with me. We made record time--13 hours. The way there took 15 1/2 hours! So it was great! Mere and Savannah stayed for a few days. We did lots of hiking, shopping and they slept like single 20's without a care in the world!! I miss those days!! Sleeping in till 10am would be such a luxury! But company is now gone. I miss everyone! I'll have to get planning again soon!!
