Shopping on the Strand

Seth's baseball game

Ryan pushing Ellie! What a good uncle!

Road Trip to Texas

Well this was my third drive to Texas since moving to Alabama and was definitely the easiest!! We left at 3:41 am because I couldn't go back to sleep and Jaron told me to just go!! So I did. Our DVD player broke so I made a couple of stops looking for one. After going to Circuit City I rechecked the player and Lo and Behold, the Lord answered my prayers and it worked. So on came the movies. I also accidentally took a side trip to New Orleans while I was talking to Jaron. woops!! It added about an hour to my drive but was a little bit fun to see.

While in Texas, I completely vegged. I didn't make any dinner plans, itineraries or high expectations. My siblings and their spouses did a Great job of keeping me entertained and fed. We went to Seth's baseball games, the pool, a party for Sean, the beach twice, shopping at Target and the Strand, the historical district. It was great!!

The way home Meredith and her friend Savannah drove with me. We made record time--13 hours. The way there took 15 1/2 hours! So it was great! Mere and Savannah stayed for a few days. We did lots of hiking, shopping and they slept like single 20's without a care in the world!! I miss those days!! Sleeping in till 10am would be such a luxury!

But company is now gone. I miss everyone! I'll have to get planning again soon!!

Olivia dove in the kiddie pool even though it was pretty cool still. I'm warming her up in a towel later on. She's so cute!

Ellie is in a "naked" phase. She is slightly dressed in these pictures but really likes to be free!! She fell enough to scrape her little nose on the concrete and that was sad! She is such a tough, scrappy little girl. We love her little drunken sailor walk and the blue googles!!

Family fun!!

We were lucky enough to have lots of visitors from Jaron's family this last week. Jim came to help Jaron put in windows. Susan, Lexie, Emyrie, Darby, Aricca and Sophie all came to just soak in the sun and have fun. It was great!! We did a lot of hiking at Green Mountain, Hays Nature Preserve and around our neighborhood. We also took the kids to a petting zoo which was pretty fun.

Olivia and Daddy

No More Gray

You can see in Jaron's eyes how much he hates having things put in his hair. But I made him sit down and I put hair dye in his hair. I had to cover up some color Aricca put in my hair last year so it became a family affair. Of course Olivia wanted a little bit done too. Jaron's gray is gone now as are my roots. No one has even noticed that our hair color has changed. Mission accomplished I guess. Notice our lovely kitchen Mom?
